Today we're celebrating Love & Gratitude Day, a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the people, places and moments that have brought joy to our lives. Throughout today's session we'll be sharing happy memories, enjoying music, exercising our brains and celebrating the many ways we can show kindness, appreciation and love.

❤️ Today's Activities

We've prepared a varied programme of CST activities based around today's theme. We'll discover some interesting facts, enjoy a reminiscence discussion, challenge our memories and word skills, test our television knowledge with famous theme tunes, and finish by singing along to some classic songs celebrating friendship, love and gratitude.

We'll begin with some fascinating facts about love, kindness and gratitude, discovering how these emotions are expressed around the world and why showing appreciation can have such a positive effect on our wellbeing.

💬 Let's Talk About...

This discussion is all about sharing memories and experiences. We'll chat about the people who've made a difference in our lives, favourite acts of kindness, treasured relationships and the many ways we've shown love and gratitude over the years.

🧠 Memory Challenge

How many different ways can you think of to say, show or communicate love and gratitude? This activity encourages everyone to work together, sharing words, gestures, traditions and acts of kindness from across the years.

🔤 Word Finding Challenge

Can you make as many words as possible using only the letters in LOVE AND GRATITUDE? Whether you find short words or long ones, every answer helps exercise memory, language and problem-solving skills.

🔗 Word Association Challenge

Starting with a simple word, we'll take turns saying the first related word that comes to mind. There are no right or wrong answers - it's a fun way to encourage conversation, creativity and quick thinking.

📺 TV Identification Challenge

Listen carefully to some famous television theme tunes and see who can identify the programme first. The music often brings back wonderful memories, even before the title comes to mind!

🎵 CST Songs of the Day

We'll finish today's session with a selection of songs celebrating love, friendship, happiness and gratitude. As always, everyone is welcome to sing along, reminisce and enjoy the music together.
